Waste to Energy
PF Engineers provides technical due diligence on WTE projects

- General - A number of Waste to Energy (WTE) were built in the 1980s and 1990s. These WTE plants essentially burned trash to generate steam to make power. The various nuances with WTE projects make these projects very challenging.
- Experience - We were engaged as an expert witness one of the last IPP WTE projects built in the US. We have reviewed several other WTE facilities in development.
- Common Issues - Material handling (i.e. fuel and ash), emissions, and construction cost and schedule.
- Risk Mitigants - Reduce the availability to support additional maintenance required, include BACT emissions equipment, detailed construction costs and schedule assessment.
Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or if we can help with your WTE project.
