• General - Wind has been utilized for hundreds of year to provide energy to drive grist mills or to produce electricity. Now the US market is looking to offshore wind as a potential energy resource.
• Experience - We have reviewed numerous projects throughout North America utilizing technologies including: GE, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Enercon, Vestas, Nordex, Clipper, Alstom, Gamesa, and more.
• Common Issues - Wind resource, location/site access, land control, fleet issues (i.e. gearboxes, blade cracking, etc.), O&M, and environmental permitting
• Risk Mitigants - Financial model to apply appropriate P-value for wind resource, review of site ingress and egress, turbine technology review, and thorough O&M review.
