• General - Simple cycle combustion turbines are generally used as peakers. A combustion turbine has a high power density with a relatively low emission profile, which make this technology a good solution to provide reliable peaking power.
• Experience - We have reviewed numerous peaking facilities using F-Class technology as well at aeroderivative technology. We are experienced with combustion turbine plants (both simple cycle and combined cycle) from development, construction, performance testing, and operations.
• Common Issues - Technology risk, emissions, market risk, and long term O&M costs.
• Risk Mitigants - Maintenance plan as an LTSA may not be as cost effective on a peaking plant, BACT emissions equipment, and a PPA.
