• Experience - We have reviewed pipelines of numerous sizes and moving various media (i.e. natural gas, water, biogas, LFG, etc.) This includes the review of horizontal directional drilling (HDD) requirements and other pipeline requirements like compressor stations or meter stations.
• Common Issues - The primary issue is land control, which includes obtaining the necessary easements or rights of way. The technology for pipeline installation has improved, so there are many more options to avoid wetlands or sensitive areas.
• Risk Mitigants - Ensure that the owner/sponsor has land control and utilizes HDD to avoid any wetlands and/or sensitive areas.
