PF Engineers provides technical due diligence on Battery Storage projects.

• General - Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is the next wave of storage technology. Most BESS projects have 1 to 4 hours of storage capacity.
• Experience - We have reviewed multiple BESS projects, both stand alone and integrated into a larger solar facility.
• Common Issues - Degradation, fire protection, limited storage duration, and an offtake/PPA to support the energy storage.
• Risk Mitigants - Ensure that the facility has an offtake and/or PPA to support facility. Provide sufficient spacing and fire suppression for the project.
